Art for Change: A Climate Exhibition

"What comes to mind when you think of climate change?"

Our Mission

The climate exhibition was created with two goals in mind: encouraging climate activism among youth and providing an insight into how youth view climate change.

To do this, we reached out to all of Brookline's public schools and collected submissions from grades k-12 answering the simple prompt "What comes to mind when you think of climate change?". We then collected the displayed artwork at the Museum of Science during their Rise Up weekend. Here, we set up an interactive activity for museum visitors to respond to the prompt by creating their own artwork.

Through this exhibition, we hope to reach artists, non-artists, children, adults, scientists, and everyone in between. Art is a unifying force. We hope this exhibition acts as a unifier among all of us on the issue of climate change.

Collecting Brookline K-12 Student Artwork

We coordinated with teachers across the 8 elementary schools and the high school to share the opportunity with students. Then, we collected the artwork to be displayed at the in-person exhibition!

Visitor Artwork

Museum Rise up weekend

We partnered with the Boston Museum of Science to be part of their April 2022 Earth Shot weekend!

We created an interactive exhibit where visitors were given the opportunity to create their own climate-inspired artwork!
